Vogel LLP is proud to be a part of the Calgary community and believes in contributing to and volunteering with various charitable organizations as a way to give back.
For the past several years, our firm has chosen to accept charitable donations in lieu of charging a fee for notarizing or commissioning documents. Each time our total donations reach $1000, the funds are forwarded to a charity suggested by any Partner or staff member, and the client is provided with a tax receipt.
In addition to monetary donations, Vogel LLP encourages all lawyers and staff to volunteer and participate in fundraising efforts whenever possible. In the past we have participated in numerous charity runs/walks in and around the city, held towel and sock drives for the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre, participated in Adopt-a-Family Christmas hamper program through Closer to Home Community Services and have organized a used book sale in the lobby of our building to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
Many of our lawyers volunteer their time on various Boards and Committees such as Pro Bono Law Alberta, Calgary Legal Guidance, Student Legal Assistance, the Association of Collaborative Professionals (Calgary), ASSIST, Leave a Legacy, and the Legal Education Society of Alberta.
Each year, one of our lawyers participates in the annual Chair-Leaders Event, organized by Spinal Cord Injury Alberta and the Calgary Health Trust, which brings awareness and raises funds in support of a barrier-free society with wheelchair access for people with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities.
