LAWYERS | Appellate Law
Family law matters are not always decided correctly in the first instance and it is possible that Provincial Court Judge, Court of Queen’s Bench Justice or an Arbitrator may have made a mistake. The appeal process is there to provide those parties who think they have been wronged to have the case and the decision reviewed by a Justice (in the case of an appeal from the Provincial Court of Alberta) or a panel of Justices at the Court of Appeal (in the case of an appeal from a decision of a Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench).
If you are considering an appeal, you need to choose experienced counsel. Our lawyers have extensive experience in handling all level of appeal matters and have appeared on appellate review matters at the Court of Queen’s Bench, Court of Appeal of Alberta and the Supreme Court of Canada.
